If you run a hotel or riad in Morocco, you already know the problem: Booking and Expedia make 70-85% of your reservations, and each booking costs them 15-25% commission. On a 1,200 MAD room, that's 240 MAD per night gone — even when the customer came thanks to your reputation. Our role: build a direct channel running alongside OTAs. We won't promise to get you off them (that'd be naïve), but to move your direct from 15% to 40-55% in 12-18 months. That's 30-40% more margin on those bookings.

Quarterly visit with photographer/videographer capturing golden hour: architecture, patio, rooms, breakfast, pool at sunset, experiences (hammam, rooftop dinner). 12-20 posts/month, "day in the life at the riad" reels, daily stories. Target engagement rate: 3-5%.

Multilingual TripAdvisor, Booking, Google review management.

You can't actually get me off Booking, right?

No, and we don't advise you to. Booking remains essential for international visibility, especially to capture first stays. Realistic goal: move your direct from 15-25% to 45-60%. You stay on Booking for new customers, then convert them to direct via email, loyalty program, next-stay reminders. Both channels coexist, you just recover margin on returners.

How many site languages?

Minimum FR and EN. Arabic if GCC clientele (Saudis, Emiratis — spend well in high season). Spanish if you're in a zone frequented by Spanish tourism (Northern Morocco, Marrakech for certain segments). German, Italian: per your actual clientele. We look at your Booking nationality history before deciding.

Can you connect to my current PMS?

Mews, Cloudbeds, Lodgify, Hotelogix, Little Hotelier — yes, standard APIs. For local Moroccan PMS or old proprietary systems, we assess feasibility during initial diagnostic. Worst case, we set up an external engine (SiteMinder, Booking Engine) that syncs via channel manager.

What do we do about a very negative unfair review?

Respond within 24h, publicly, courteous, factual. We never respond emotionally. We acknowledge what can be, set facts straight on what's false, invite direct contact to resolve. Other travelers read how you respond more than the review itself. Good handling of a bad review can strengthen your reputation.

Budget for real impact?

Serious start: 8,000 to 20,000 MAD/month depending on hotel size. Includes site management, multilingual SEO, social + review management, and some Google Hotel Ads. For small riads we can start at 5,000 MAD/month with SEO + reviews + minimum social. Commission savings quickly pay for the investment.

How long before direct bookings grow?

Google Hotel Ads: effects in 60-90 days. International SEO: 6-12 months for real impact. Social media: 3-6 months to build audience. Email marketing: immediate on existing base. Generally at 9-12 months clients see their channel mix visibly shift.
